Amidst a pandemic in full swing and the political chaos of 2020, a new creative project emerged. I had the opportunity to collaborate with the brilliant spoken word poet Buddy Wakefield (https://buddywakefield.com/) on a limited run project. I took quotes from his books and performances and interpreted them into frameable one of a kind greeting cards. 25 boxes, 5 cards to a box, all original cards from scratch. They sold in under 8 hours on his Instagram on Easter Sunday, 2021. In the 3 months it took to create these cards, I reimagined and fell in love again with the collage style of art I first engaged in more than 10 years ago. Look for more projects related to this one in the future. My gratitude goes to Buddy for his generosity and patience and to Joe Kowalke for the introduction.

Project

In 2017, an original card I created using The Ton stamps was featured on their blog. While I never use kits, I enjoy using stamp sets in original ways. I try to tag the stamp maker on social media when I do.
